USM Regents Committee on Education Policy Meets June 2
Adelphi, Md. (May 28,
2010) - The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee
on Education Policy at its next meeting will take action on new academic
program proposals and hear several information items, including reports on USM
institutions' retention and graduation rates and enrollment patterns for
transfer students.
The public meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.
Wednesday, June 2 in the Hilda and Michael Bogomolny Room (5th floor)
of the Student Center at the University of Baltimore, 21 W. Mt. Royal Avenue,
Baltimore, Md.
Five proposed academic programs are under consideration:
B.A./B.S. in Criminal Justice, Bowie
State University;
Ph.D. in Nursing Practice, Salisbury University;
M.S. in Human Computer Interaction,
University of Maryland, College Park;
B.S. in Urban Forestry, University of
Maryland Eastern Shore;
P.S.M. in Quantitative Fisheries and
Resource Economics, University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
The committee also
will hold an information session to hear USM institutions' annual reports on
intercollegiate athletics.
