USM Regents Advancement Committee Meets February 4
Adelphi,
Md. (Feb. 1, 2010) - The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of
Regents Advancement Committee will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 4. The
meeting will be held in the Chancellor's Conference Room in the
Elkins Building at the USM headquarters, 3300 Metzerott Road, Adelphi, MD.
Items
before the committee include:
- Campaign Update - Five-year Assessment and
Outlook for FY 2010;
- A report on the new fundraising initiative, A Matter of Degrees: USM Leading the
Way in Degree Completion. The initiative will supplement the $500,000
grant given to USM in honor of Chancellor William E. "Brit" Kirwan's
selection for the Carnegie Corporation Academic Leadership Award;
- A report on the Way2GoMaryland campaign and
opportunities to leverage nationwide interest in increased college
enrollment and completion;
- A
discussion of accountability regarding use of resources directed to
fundraising.
