USM Regents Committee on Finance Meets September 13
Adelphi, Md. (Sept. 11, 2018) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Finance will meet Thursday, September 13 at the College Park Marriott & Conference Center at University of Maryland University College (UMUC), 3501 University Blvd. East, Adelphi, MD.
At 10 a.m., the Committee on Finance will vote publicly in Room 2110 on whether to reconvene in closed session to consider items exempted in the Open Meetings Act from public consideration.
The reasons for closing are to maintain confidentiality of discussions of a potential property acquisition (via lease) prior to Board of Regents approval; and to maintain the confidentiality of proposed operating budget prior to Governor’s submission to legislature.
The public session is scheduled to resume at 10:30 a.m. in Room 2110. During the open session, the committee will vote on a gift of property from the Frostburg State University Foundation and proposed athletic field improvements at Towson University.
As an information item, the committee will hear a review of capital improvements projects.
